With deep sorrow and heavy hearts, we remember Edward Cervenansky, a 34-year-old man from Three Lakes, Wisconsin, whose life was tragically cut short in a fatal two-vehicle crash in Arbor Vitae. Edward’s sudden passing has left his family, friends, and the entire community grieving a loss that words can scarcely capture.

According to information released by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, the crash occurred at approximately 10:25 a.m. on Tuesday along US Highway 51 northbound at Trapp Road, in the Woodruff/Arbor Vitae area. The Wisconsin State Patrol responded to the scene after receiving reports of a serious two-vehicle collision.
Preliminary findings indicate that a pickup truck traveling southbound on US Highway 51 lost control, crossed the centerline, and collided head-on with a northbound 2001 Kenworth dump truck. Edward Cervenansky, who was driving the Chevrolet pickup, was pronounced deceased at the scene as a result of the impact. The driver of the Kenworth dump truck, Wyatt Fendryk, 23, was not injured.
Authorities noted that Edward was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The Wisconsin State Patrol continues to conduct a full crash investigation and reconstruction, along with a post-crash motor carrier inspection of the commercial vehicle involved.
Multiple agencies assisted at the scene, including the Vilas County Sheriff’s Office, Arbor Vitae Fire and Rescue Department, Oneida County Ambulance, Oneida County Medical Examiner, Woodruff Police Department, Department of Natural Resources, Vilas County Highway Department, and the Three Lakes Police Department. Their coordinated response reflected the seriousness of the incident and the collective effort to manage its aftermath.
Beyond the official reports and investigation details, Edward was so much more than the circumstances of his passing. He was a son, a loved one, a friend, and a member of the Three Lakes community whose life held meaning and value. His death is a heartbreaking reminder of how quickly life can change and how fragile each moment truly is.
As loved ones mourn this profound loss, the community stands in solidarity with Edward’s family, offering prayers, condolences, and support during this unimaginably difficult time. May the memories of his life bring comfort to those who knew him, and may his legacy live on through the people whose lives he touched.
Rest in peace, Edward Cervenansky. You will be remembered, and you will not be forgotten.
