According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Joseph Plattenburg (born August 7, 1984) and Jordyn Wells (born March 18, 1998) were taken into custody in connection with Jorge’s death. Investigators allege the suspects shot Jorge during a dispute over money. Both individuals have been charged with murder and were booked into the Harris County Jail. Authorities credited the swift arrests to the diligent efforts of homicide detectives and SWAT teams, whose coordinated work ensured rapid progress in the investigation.

He is survived by his beloved son, Jorge “LJ” Arturo Gonzalez III; his parents, Jorge Arturo Gonzalez Sr. (Beatriz) and Misty Bartolomei (Jorge); his sisters, Amber Castro (Rick), Ashleigh Champagne (John), Alex Gonzalez, and Adriana Gonzalez; and his brother, Arturo Gonzalez.
Jorge also leaves behind cherished nieces—Angelina Gonzalez (Cesar), Anabella Doria, Melina Guzman, Mackenzie Guzman, and Maddix Tackitt; nephews—Caden Champagne, Mason Champagne, and Enrique Castro; his great-niece, Mariela Cantu; and his grandmother, Peggy Stansbury (Dan).
