With hearts heavy beyond measure, we remember and honor the lives of Brileigh Janae Dailey, 19, and her younger brother, Kyler Dailey, 16, two vibrant souls whose lives were tragically taken far too soon in a devastating accident on Sunday, February 1, 2026, near Clyde, Texas.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the siblings were traveling together in a 1994 Ford F-150 pickup truck when a tragic collision with a train occurred around 2:45 p.m. while exiting a private driveway along FM 18. The impact caused the vehicle to be pushed from the tracks and engulfed in flames. Despite the efforts of first responders, both Brileigh and Kyler were pronounced deceased at the scene by Justice of the Peace Paige Savell. The loss has sent shockwaves through their family, their school, their church, and the entire community that loved them so deeply.
Brileigh Janae Dailey was a 2025 graduate of Clyde High School, remembered as a young woman full of warmth, determination, and grace. She was actively involved in softball and cheer, dedicating many years to the sports she loved and the teammates she considered family. Brileigh had a way of lighting up a room with her smile and lifting others with her kind spirit. She was compassionate, encouraging, and carried herself with a quiet strength that left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Her younger brother, Kyler Dailey, was a junior at Clyde High School, known for his energy, athleticism, and bright potential. Kyler proudly represented his school on the football field and track, giving his all in everything he did. He was driven, respectful, and deeply loved by friends, coaches, and classmates alike. Kyler had dreams ahead of him and a future filled with promise—one that was just beginning to unfold.
Together, Brileigh and Kyler shared an unbreakable sibling bond—one rooted in love, faith, laughter, and shared experiences. They were both active members of Beltway Park Church in Abilene, deeply involved in their youth groups, and grounded in their faith. Their lives reflected kindness, service, and genuine care for others. To know them was to feel welcomed, valued, and uplifted.
As expressed by their family and loved ones through a GoFundMe established in their honor, “Brileigh and Kyler were vibrant young lives with bright futures ahead of them. They were deeply loved and will always be remembered for the joy, kindness, and light they brought to those around them.” Words cannot fully capture the pain of this loss, nor the emptiness left behind by their absence.
The GoFundMe, which has raised $24,000 at the time of reporting, was created to help cover funeral and memorial expenses and to support the family during this unimaginable time—allowing them the space to grieve without the added burden of financial stress. The overwhelming outpouring of love, prayers, and generosity stands as a testament to the impact Brileigh and Kyler had on so many lives.
Though their time on this earth was heartbreakingly short, their legacy will live on—in the memories shared, the lives they touched, the faith they carried, and the love that will forever surround their names. Brileigh and Kyler will always be remembered not for how they left this world, but for how beautifully they lived in it.
May they rest in eternal peace, side by side, and may comfort and strength surround their family, friends, and all who mourn this profound loss.
