Michael Ross Regina Death and Obituary: Third Arrest Made in Ongoing West-End Homicide Investigation

Michael Ross Regina Death and Obituary – The Regina Police Service has announced a third arrest in connection with the homicide of Michael Ross, a case that has shaken the Regina community since January. Ross was discovered deceased in the trunk of an abandoned vehicle on the city’s west side, prompting a comprehensive investigation that continues to unfold.

On Tuesday, authorities confirmed that 33-year-old Shyla Keewatin has been charged with first-degree murder and committing an indignity to a body. Keewatin is scheduled to appear in Regina Provincial Court on Wednesday. While police allege Keewatin’s direct involvement in Ross’s death, they have not released further specifics about the circumstances surrounding the killing.

This arrest follows two earlier charges linked to the investigation. Steven Lee Myslichuk, 37, was arrested on January 26 and appeared in court on January 28. Court documents indicate that Myslichuk faces charges of knowingly assisting a person who committed murder, as well as indecently interfering with human remains. Police allege that Myslichuk helped place Ross’s body into a hockey bag, transported it into a vehicle trunk, and drove around the city. His next court appearance is scheduled for February 4.

The third accused, Kobe Samuel Fiddler, 26, faces multiple charges related to events on January 19. Fiddler is charged with interfering with human remains, fleeing from police, and assisting the person responsible for Ross’s death to evade arrest. He also faces weapons-related charges, including possession and concealment of a pellet gun and possession of a firearm while prohibited. According to police reports, a traffic stop was attempted around 3 a.m. on January 19 near Saskatchewan Drive and Albert Street, but the vehicle fled at high speed. Officers deployed the Aerial Support Unit and later located the vehicle on the 1400 block of Princess Street. The occupants had fled, and Ross’s body was subsequently discovered in the trunk.

Investigators have also secured a residence in the Pioneer Village neighbourhood, at the 3700 block of Dewdney Avenue, as part of the ongoing probe. Authorities continue to emphasize that the investigation remains active, and more details may emerge in the coming weeks.

While few personal details about Michael Ross have been released, his death has left family, friends, and the Regina community grieving. Police urge anyone with information to come forward to aid in the investigation. Witnesses can contact the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500 or Regina Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

The tragic case underscores the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to bring justice to victims and ensure public safety. As the community waits for further developments, residents are reminded to remain vigilant and report any relevant information.
