Jackson Township, New Jersey – It is with heavy hearts that the Jackson Township community mourns the tragic loss of Michael McDonald, an 80-year-old resident whose life was cut short in a devastating motor vehicle crash on Friday, February 6.

According to police, the fatal incident occurred around 4:00 p.m. on Toms River Road near Aiden Lane. Authorities say a 2022 Toyota Sienna, traveling northbound, crossed the double yellow line and collided head-on with a southbound Ford F-250. The impact of the crash was severe, and one of the vehicles became engulfed in flames.

Mr. McDonald, the driver of the Toyota Sienna and a longtime member of the Jackson Township community, was pronounced dead at the scene. Emergency responders worked swiftly, but despite their efforts, his injuries proved fatal.

This sudden and heartbreaking loss has left family, friends, and neighbors grieving a life that meant so much to so many. Michael will be remembered for the years he spent as part of this community and for the memories he leaves behind in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
