WHITE SETTLEMENT, Texas — The White Settlement Police Department has announced multiple arrests in connection with the tragic homicide of 33-year-old Savanna Parker, who died from multiple gunshot wounds during a home invasion burglary on Friday, January 30, 2026, in the 600 block of Meadow Park Drive. The arrests are the result of extensive investigative work, advanced license plate reader and video technology, and strong collaboration among local, state, and federal law enforcement partners.

Investigators determined that three individuals arrived in a vehicle parked on Whitney Drive before two male suspects approached Parker’s residence. One male suspect forced entry into the home while the other remained outside. Parker confronted the suspects and began recording video on her phone, during which the juvenile male suspect fired a handgun, striking her multiple times. Parker later died at a hospital.
Using video and license plate reader data, detectives identified the suspects. On February 6, 23-year-old Marissa Nicole Ocon was arrested in South Fort Worth and charged with capital murder. On February 7, 31-year-old Maribel Apodaca-Guzman was arrested and charged with hindering apprehension or prosecution. That same day, the getaway vehicle was recovered in Dallas for processing. Authorities continue efforts to apprehend 17-year-old Julian Xavier Ramirez, charged with capital murder and believed to be in Mexico.
Chief of Police Christopher Cook praised the teamwork of investigators, including the Texas Rangers, White Settlement PD, Fort Worth PD, and federal agencies. “This case demonstrates our unwavering commitment to public safety and holding offenders accountable,” Cook said. The department continues to work tirelessly to bring Ramirez to justice and provide closure to Parker’s family.
