MACON, Ga. — Authorities have identified Brande Summers, 49; Haliegh Summers, 21; Ray Summers, 51; and Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones following a tragic domestic incident that unfolded Tuesday morning on Ridgeview Circle, leaving two women dead and the suspected gunman deceased after what began as an attempted eviction service.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, a civil deputy attempted to serve an eviction notice at a residence in the 1100 block of Ridgeview Circle at approximately 10:16 a.m. Tuesday. Officials say as the deputy approached the home, someone inside opened fire, discharging three gunshots.
The gunfire immediately prompted a significant law enforcement response. Deputies secured the area as additional units arrived, creating a heavy police presence throughout the neighborhood. Residents reported seeing multiple patrol vehicles and emergency responders surrounding the home as authorities worked to assess the unfolding situation.
Just after noon, deputies made entry into the residence. Inside, they discovered two women — identified as Brande Summers, 49, and Haliegh Summers, 21 — suffering from fatal gunshot wounds. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities also located Ray Summers, 51, inside the home with what investigators described as a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was transported to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment. According to Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones, Ray Summers died just before 5 p.m. Tuesday.
Investigators believe the shooting stemmed from a domestic-related incident that occurred as the eviction notice was being served. Officials have not yet released further details about the events leading up to the gunfire, but confirmed that the case remains under active investigation.
