Despite the swift response of first responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two other men were also struck by gunfire during the incident and were transported to Jefferson Regional Medical Center for treatment. Authorities reported that their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, and they were last listed in stable condition.
Investigators stated that the suspects were seen traveling in a gray wide-body Dodge Charger with a black roof, spoiler, and hood scoop.
