Authorities have identified two people who died following a single-vehicle crash early Thursday morning in Maple Heights.

According to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office, the victims were Kelvin Tipton, 32, and Joyce Brown, 55, both residents of Bedford Heights, Ohio.
Police with the Maple Heights Police Department said the crash occurred around 1:30 a.m. in the 17000 block of Broadway Avenue, Maple Heights, Ohio. Officers responded to reports of a serious collision and discovered a vehicle that had left the roadway and struck a utility pole.
When first responders arrived, both occupants were found inside the vehicle and were pronounced dead at the scene, according to officials.
Investigators say the circumstances leading up to the crash are still being reviewed. The Southeast Area Law Enforcement Accident Investigation Unit has taken the lead in examining evidence and determining what may have caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle.
Authorities have not released additional details about the events leading up to the crash but confirmed that the investigation remains ongoing.
