Authorities in Greensburg are investigating a Friday afternoon crash that resulted in the decease of a 76-year-old local man.

According to the Greensburg Police Department, officers were dispatched around 2:15 p.m. on March 20 to a report of a vehicle that had crashed into a building at 1330 North Anderson Street.
When officers arrived, they located the driver, identified as Michael R. Linville of Greensburg, and immediately began providing assistance. He was transported to Decatur County Memorial Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Police confirmed that a passenger was also in the vehicle at the time of the crash but was not injured.
Preliminary findings indicate that Linville may have experienced a medical emergency while driving. Investigators said he was traveling southbound on Carver Street when the vehicle left the roadway near the intersection with State Road 3. The vehicle then continued through a grassy area, struck several parked cars, and collided with a building.
Authorities emphasized that the investigation remains ongoing, and no final determination has been made regarding the cause of the incident.
