Kent Police Investigate Homicide After Man Found Dead in Brush

Kent, WA — Kent Police are investigating a suspected homicide after the body of a 33‑year‑old man was found on Sunday, January 25. Officers were called to an area near 74th Avenue South after someone reported finding a person in the brush in that part of the city.

When police arrived just before noon, they located an adult male who was already deceased. Based on what they saw at the scene, investigators believe the injuries are consistent with a homicide, and the King County Medical Examiner’s Office later confirmed the death was the result of a criminal act.

Detectives from the Kent Police Department are now leading the inquiry and are working to learn more about what happened. Police say that, at this time, there’s no indication of a continuing danger to the broader community.
