Chesne Long Caldwell Ohio Death and Obituary – The Caldwell, Ohio community is grieving the heartbreaking loss of Chesne Hannah Long, who passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at just 19 years old. Born August 1, 2006, in Cambridge, Ohio, Chesne was the cherished daughter of Brent and Kristen Stephen Long. Her passing has left family, friends, classmates, and community members mourning a young woman whose life radiated love, faith, and extraordinary promise.

Though her time on earth was brief, Chesne’s impact was profound. Known for her joyful spirit and compassionate heart, she had a way of making everyone feel valued. Her infectious laugh, gentle kindness, and willingness to help others defined her character. A faithful member of the Caldwell Church of Christ, Chesne lived her beliefs through warmth, generosity, and genuine care for those around her.

Chesne was a 2025 graduate of Caldwell High School, where she distinguished herself academically and athletically. Graduating Summa Cum Laude, she exemplified intelligence, dedication, and perseverance. Teachers and classmates admired her strong work ethic and humble nature, recognizing her as both a high achiever and a trusted friend.

On the volleyball court, Chesne was a standout athlete. She held multiple school records and was celebrated by teammates and coaches for her leadership, teamwork, and determination. Her competitive spirit and encouragement uplifted those around her, leaving a lasting mark on Caldwell’s athletic community.

Outside of school and sports, Chesne treasured life’s simple joys. She loved music, found comfort in spending time with her cat Luca and her horse Saylor, and cherished family vacations to Gatlinburg and Lakewood. These moments reflected her playful nature, loyalty, and deep appreciation for togetherness.

Chesne was preceded in death by her beloved Pap, Kevin Stephen, whom she regarded as her hero; her great-grandfathers, Carl Forshey and Dale Stephen; and her uncle, Darrel Forshey. She is survived by her loving parents, Brent and Kristen Long; her devoted brother, Beckett Long; grandparents Galen and Candie Long; and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will forever hold her memory close.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 16, 2026, from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, Ohio. Funeral services will follow on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel, officiated by Pastor Kris Bright. Burial will take place at Olive Cemetery, where Chesne will be laid to rest beside her beloved Pap.

In honor of Chesne’s legacy, memorial contributions may be made to the Caldwell Boosters Volleyball Program. Though her life ended far too soon, Chesne Hannah Long’s faith, kindness, achievements, and radiant spirit will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.
