Eboni Silas, Tishauna Ballard, Two Women Identified in Fatal Kansas City Bar Shooting

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police have confirmed the identities of two women who were killed early Sunday morning following a shooting inside a bar on Southwest Boulevard in Kansas City, Missouri. The victims have been named as Eboni Silas, 29, and Tishauna Ballard, 24.

Authorities say officers responded to reports of gunfire just after 2 a.m. at a bar near West 28th Street and Southwest Boulevard. When emergency crews arrived, they found multiple people who had been shot. Two women were declared dead — one at the scene and another after being transported to a hospital. A third woman was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, and a fourth victim, a male, was also taken to a hospital and remains in critical condition.

The Kansas City Police Department has opened a homicide investigation into the shooting, but no suspects have yet been arrested. Investigators say initial information suggests an interaction inside the bar may have led to the gunfire. Police are asking anyone who was present at the venue and has not yet spoken with officers to contact detectives or submit an anonymous tip.

Local community members paid tribute outside a nearby nightclub following the incident, leaving flowers and messages in memory of the two women. Police did not say whether the venue where the shooting occurred was the same club where the memorial was placed.
