Syracuse police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred just after midnight Tuesday on the city’s North Side. Officers responded to the 100 block of Lawrence Street at 12:14 a.m. after receiving an alert from ShotSpotter, a gunfire detection system.
Authorities found a 25-year-old man, later identified by family as Yungg Kilo, lying in the street near 119 Lawrence Street. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene.
Police say the investigation is ongoing as they work to identify suspects and determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Officers are canvassing the area and reviewing surveillance footage, seeking any information that could help in the case.
